Check Product Price

Paste a product link - see the current price, price history, and where it's cheaper

Service live 650+ stores 2 800+ products in database 4.6 ★ Chrome Web Store

How the price check works

Lume is a free online tool that reads the price from any product page, stores its change history, and finds the same product across other stores. You don't need to register or install anything - just paste a link and click Check.

A single query gives you three key things: the current price with stock confirmation, full change history with a chart, and comparison against other stores if we find matches. That's enough to decide in 5 seconds whether this is actually a good offer or just marketing dressing.

What you'll see in the report

Why checking price history matters

Discount psychology is simple: when you see a crossed-out large number next to the price, your brain automatically reads it as savings. Marketers know this. So the standard playbook is to raise the price 2-3 weeks before a sale, then «reduce» it back to the normal level. Technically a discount exists, in reality it doesn't.

This is especially common before Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the Christmas shopping season. Read more about the most common «fake discount» tactics in our 5 Black Friday Myths article. A calendar of actual sales in Ukraine is in Price Event Calendar.

How we collect prices

Lume works without partner APIs or store agreements. Instead, when you or another user opens a product page, our server reads it the same way a browser would, and pulls the price from the page's standard product data. That's public information - the same data Google sees when it indexes the site. No special access.

For actively tracked products an automated scheduler checks the price every 1-4 hours. This means the more people use the service, the more accurate the price history in our database. We currently watch over 2,800 products across 650+ stores.

When Lume actually saves you money

Common shopper mistakes

1. Trusting the crossed-out price next to the sale price. The «old» price is often either invented or a one-week spike just before the sale. Check the chart - if that price was steady for months, the sale is genuine.

2. Buying at the first store you see. The same item often varies 10-20% across stores. The cross-store comparison in the report is exactly for this.

3. Ignoring the «markdown» date. A discount running from Feb 1 to Feb 7 is suspicious. Genuine sales last longer or have a clear reason (a holiday, a model refresh).

Supported stores

Works with over 650 online stores. Popular Ukrainian stores include Rozetka, Comfy, Foxtrot, Allo, Epicentr, MOYO, Eldorado, Stylus, Brain, Citrus, Eva, Watsons. Internationally - Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Bol.com, Coolblue, Walmart and many more. In general, the service auto-detects products on any most modern e-commerce sites.

Is the discount real?

According to research, roughly 60–70% of online «discounts» are fake. The typical pattern: a store raises the price 2–3 weeks before a sale, then «drops» it back to the normal level so the difference looks dramatic. Lume shows the real history - if today's «sale price» was the regular price three months ago, that's marketing, not a discount.

Automatic tracking

If you'd like the system to track prices automatically, install the Chrome extension or connect the Telegram bot. You'll only get notifications when the price actually changes - no spam. The extension works right on the product page, the bot lives in Telegram. Both are free.

Don't want to track anything yourself? Subscribe to our channel @lume_deals - we post a daily roundup of the best discounts from our database (2,800+ products). No action required on your side - just read the channel and click through to whatever catches your eye.

Privacy

Lume does not require registration, doesn't store your query history, and shows no ads. We only process publicly available information from product pages. Details in the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Is the price check free?

Yes, the price check at withlume.org/check is completely free and requires no registration. No hidden fees, no limits on how many URLs you can check.

Which stores are supported?

Lume works with 650+ stores. Ukrainian ones include Rozetka, Comfy, Foxtrot, Allo, Epicentr, MOYO, Eldorado, Stylus, Brain, Citrus, Eva, Watsons. International: Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Bol.com, Coolblue, Walmart. The service auto-detects products on any site with proper structured markup.

How often do prices refresh?

For actively tracked products, prices refresh every 1-4 hours. If you check a product through the site for the first time, the price is fetched live. For automatic periodic checks, install our Chrome extension or connect the Telegram bot.

Can I check the price without installing anything?

Yes - withlume.org/check works without the extension; just paste a link. The extension is only needed for automatic tracking and price-drop notifications.

How does Lume tell if a discount is real?

Lume stores price history for every observation period. If today's «sale» price is the same as a month ago before the «markdown», the discount is fake. The history chart shows the real dynamics at a glance.

Is it safe to paste links?

Yes. We only process publicly available info from product pages (price, title, image). We don't store your query history, we don't show ads, we don't require registration. Details in the privacy policy.

What if a store can't be parsed?

Some stores use anti-bot protection and server-side fetches may fail. Install the Lume Chrome extension - it reads the price directly from your browser, bypassing protection.

Can I save a product for ongoing monitoring?

Yes. Install the Lume Chrome extension or connect to the @LumepriceBot Telegram bot. Every page you check is then automatically added to your watchlist and you get notifications when the price changes.
