In 30 seconds
- Install the Chrome extension (free, no signup)
- Open any product page. Lume shows the price history right there
- Optionally, connect the Telegram bot for automatic notifications
- Save money. That's it.
What's actually happening?
🔍You browse. Lume watches the prices.
When you open a product page, the extension reads the price and stores it. No magic. Most stores already publish price data in standard formats (JSON-LD, Open Graph). Lume just reads what's already there.
Over time, a price history builds up. Next time you see «70% OFF!!!», glance at the chart to realize the «old price» was inflated two days ago. Classic trick. Now you see it.
Works with 650+ stores: Amazon, eBay, Bol.com, Coolblue, Walmart, AliExpress, Rozetka, Foxtrot, Comfy, and basically any store that follows the web standards for product data.
📊A price chart that doesn't lie
Each dot on the chart is a real observation, not an estimate or an average. You see the actual price on a specific day. The chart shows:
- Current price compared to previous ones
- The lowest price across the entire observation period
- Whether the current «discount» is real or staged
No interpretations. Just data. You decide.
🔔The Telegram bot: your personal price watcher
Don't want to check prices manually? OK. That's what the bot is for.
How to add a product:
- Send a product link to @LumepriceBot
- That's it. No forms, no accounts, no email confirmation
What happens next:
- Lume checks the price every few hours automatically
- Price dropped? Instant message
- Item back in stock? You hear about it first
- Target price reached? Notification + the bot clears the target automatically to avoid spam
🛒«Bought it!» and post-purchase monitoring
Tapped «Bought» after placing the order? Lume keeps watching quietly. If the price drops after your purchase, you get a notification. Useful if the store has price-match policies or you're still within the return window.
⏰Snooze and remind
Got a price-drop alert but not ready to buy? Tap «Remind later». In 3 days the bot pings you with the update: the price dropped further, went up, or stayed the same.
🔗Extension + Telegram = full sync
Using both the extension and the bot? Link them. All tracked products sync between both. Delete something in one place, it disappears from the other.
How to link:
- Open the extension, click «Connect Telegram»
- A link opens in Telegram
- Done. Everything syncs automatically
Some stores are tricky (strong anti-bot protection, prices rendered only in the browser). For those products Lume marks them as «Updated from browser». The bot can't check them on its own, but every time you visit the page with the extension active, the price updates and syncs. Best of both worlds.
💰Cross-store price comparison
Tracking a Samsung TV on one site? Lume automatically searches for the same product at other stores and tells you if it's cheaper somewhere. No manual comparison.
Works best for electronics and known brands, where model numbers let us match items reliably.
💸Cashback, automatically
For stores supported by LetyShops cashback, Lume shows the cashback percentage right in your product list. Click «Open» and the affiliate link is applied automatically. You don't need a separate LetyShops extension.
Under the hood (for the curious)
How often are prices checked?
Not all products are equal. Lume uses a tiered scheduler:
| Product type | Check interval | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Regular products | Every 1-2 hours | Good balance of freshness and server load |
| JS-heavy sites (Cloudflare, SPA) | Every 2-4 hours | Requires a headless browser - it's expensive |
| Out of stock products | Every 24 hours | No rush, but we keep an eye on them |
| Browser-only products | When you visit the page | Your browser does the work |
Smart error handling
Sometimes a store changes layout or goes down. Lume doesn't panic:
- Tiny price wobbles (under 1%): ignored, probably rounding
- Huge price swings (35%+ drops, 3x+ jumps): flagged as suspicious, double-checked before notifying. This catches parser bugs and currency mix-ups so you don't get a fake «price dropped 90%!»
- Temporary errors: retried next cycle. After 3 consecutive failures, the interval bumps to 72 hours
- Stock changes: confirmed across 2 consecutive checks before notifying, so a brief glitch doesn't trigger a false alarm
Three-pass price detection
Lume reads prices using three strategies, in order:
- JSON-LD / structured data (most reliable): the store explicitly publishes the price for search engines. Lume reads the same data
- Open Graph meta tags: Facebook-style product metadata. Less common but reliable when present
- CSS heuristics: for stores that don't follow any standard, Lume looks for common price patterns in the HTML
If the first method succeeds, Lume uses it and moves on. No guessing.
